My Inspiration
Every novel I write begins not with imagination—but with memory. With the people I have loved, and the God who never let them go.
My novels are born from family stories — whispered at kitchen tables, told through giggles and tears, carried forward through generations. Loosely drawn from my mother's childhood and my father's journey through recovery, these are stories of real lives: imperfect, aching, and achingly human. They are stories of broken characters who, through faith and the steadfast love of family, discover paths to redemption they never thought possible.

A Glimpse into Creativity
The Journey Behind the Words
I never planned to become a writer. I was too busy building a career as a lawyer, raising a family, and being a caretaker for my parents. But in 2022, when both of my parents died, the world shifted beneath my feet. In the silence that followed, I picked up a pen and began writing down their stories—not realizing I was writing my way toward healing and a calling I never saw coming.
What started as grief transformed into something extraordinary. While preserving my parents' memories, I discovered my grandfather's World War II flight logs and service records—documents revealing a hero I never met. He died when my mother was just fifteen, his life overshadowed by alcoholism and a tragic ending.
I reached out to the Air Force, and they sent me The Daily War Diaries of the 9th Combat Camera Unit in the Mediterranean Theater, and it changed everything. As I flipped through the pages, I was astonished to discover my grandfather, Lt. Robert Hart, authored the entries. I had been given the rare gift to get to know someone who had died decades before I was born-and through all things-war records.
Through my writing, I got the opportunity to know my grandfather, remember my family, and get reminded that even the most flawed people are children of God. Laughing through tears, guided by a desire to tell let others into a world filled with love, laughter, and hope.
